Davis Downtown

Pub Crawl

Every year, Davis Downtown hosts and organizes a pub crawl in June. The event has been known as the Father's Day Pub Crawl because it falls on Father's Day weekend and targets Dads from Davis. In 2023, the name changed to Davis Downtown Pub Crawl and will target more of the local community.

Burger Battle

In July, Davis Downtown hosts a Burger Battle for local restaurants to enter and compete for the best burger in downtown. In 2022, the event was a single day where community members watched local celebrity judges taste each burger, while participating in activities to win prizes. In 2023, the event will run through the entire month of July and allow anyone to taste the burgers and vote themselves.

Cars & Coffee

Davis Downtown organizes a three day event in August called Hot Davis Days. One of these events is a Cars & Coffee meet, where local car lovers can attend a free car show in Davis Central Park while enjoying beverages and pastries from local vendors at the event.

Pawlentine's Day

Pawlentine's Day is a special event where community members sign up their pets for a free photo shoot in exchange for a donation to the Yolo County SPCA Animal Shelter. The theme of the photo shoot is Valentine's Day, as it falls on Valentine's Day weekend.

The Davisphere

Davis Downtown Business Association
Event Series - Graphic Design

As the Marketing & Operations Assistant for the Davis Downtown Business Association, I spearheaded the graphic design and brand creation for a new event series in Davis. I was responsible for the creation of The Davisphere logo, all event signage, promotional materials, and social media graphics.

What is the Davisphere? It is a vibrant, eclectic & electric communal atmosphere where there is entertainment for all ages. The idea was based on the simple premise that positive energy builds when people get together and enjoy themselves. The Davisphere symbolizes community encompassment, vibrancy, the Earth we share, and a place of belonging.

Contract Work

The Blondie Beauty Podcast

In February 2022 I joined the Blondie Beauty team as a social media intern. I created content for Instagram using the brand guidelines and graphic standards set by the host of the podcast. Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I created original Instagram posts and stories with sourced photos and other graphics to engage followers and keep them updated on recent episodes.

J.A. Taylor Foundation

The J.A. Taylor Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Dixon, California who's goal is to educate local youth and help them build a career in agriculture and athletics. The founders commissioned me to create their new 2022 logo.

Davis Parent Nursery School

The Davis Parent Nursery School (DPNS) is a non-profit parent participation cooperative nursery school. I assisted the parents of DPNS in designing several promotional graphics such as an event brochure, a social media graphic and event flyers. Using their established logo and colors I created items that matched their image.

Cal Maritime

CSU Maritime Athletics hosts a golf tournament every year to raise money for student-athletes. During the summer of 2021, I designed a brochure which detailed important information on the event. After these brochures were printed and shared among guests, I went on to create a detailed itinerary as well as event signage to be used at the golf course.

Undergraduate Work

The Good Bits

Campaign Design

The Good Bits was created to promote a sustainable relationship with the food we eat through education and a call-to-action. I, along with two other designers, decided to address this issue with a social campaign. Over the course of ten weeks, we created a brand identity, campaign events and materials, a business system, a financial plan, digital media marketing, and public advertisements.

Bug Snacks

Packaging Design

Bug Snacks is a company designed to market edible insect products. The goal of the brand design, as well as the packaging design, is to make an undesirable food desired by consumers. During the ten weeks I spent on this project, I created a logo, a business system, marketing materials for print and digital use, as well as a product prototype.
